Rockenfeller in hospital, but okay
Audi's Mike Rockenfeller will stay overnight in hospital as a precaution following his massive shunt into the barriers after the Mulsanne straight. Rockenfeller was able to crawl out of the car and behind the safety barrier immediately after the crash, which led to a two hour Safety Car period as marshals reconstructed the barrier at the point where the #1 Audi had made contact. Audi has confirmed Rockenfeller's early diagnosis is positive, but he will be held overnight due to the severity of the impact.
